Who can enter?
ALL ARTISTS AGE 12-19
What kind of art can be entered? VISUAL ART IN ANY MEDIUM. OR COMBINATION OF MEDIUMS. FINE ART (PAINTING, DRAWING, SCULPTURE), POP ART (DIGITAL ART, GRAPHIC ART) PHOTOGRAPHY, CHALK ART, MURAL, STREET ART, ETC.
Can I enter with a partner or group?
YES.
Do I have to be in school to enter?
NO.
Do I have to read the book to enter the contest?
TECHNICALLY NO, BUT SINCE THE CONTEST REQUIRES THAT YOU ILLUSTRATE OR VISUALLY REPRESENT OR EXPRESS YOUR FAVORITE CHARACTER OR SCENE FROM THE BOOK, READING THE BOOK WOULD HELP!
I'm in college. Can I still enter?
IF YOU ARE 19 YEARS OLD OR UNDER ON THE DATE YOU SUBMIT YOUR ART, YES!
How will I know if I or my group wins?
WINNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY EMAIL, ALL MEMBERS OF A GROUP SUBMISSION WILL BE NOTIFIED .
What happens to my art if I win?
YOUR ART WILL BE PUBLISHED IN THE FIRST EDITION PRINT BOOKS OF HIDDEN CITY!

Fan Art Contest Rules:

All artworks submitted MUST BE YOUR OR YOUR GROUP’S ORIGINAL work! Only submit original work.

Artworks submitted after the Submission deadline on March 19, 2021 will NOT BE CONSIDERED.

Please submit only artworks relevant to the characters and storyline of Hidden City: The Unimaginables, Book 1 by J.S. Furlong.

Submit all artworks by electronic means to the email address provided: hiddencitycontest@gmail.com

Submit large file artworks via the free large file transfer services Wetransfer.com or Hightail.com

Submit COPIES of your artworks ONLY. The publisher nor the author will be held responsible for accidental loss or destruction of your one copy of your work!

Contestants may enter up to 10 separate or individual artworks.

Contestants may enter solo works and group works.

Please submit the highest quality photograph, scan, or electronic duplication of your art
work as possible!

Please include a signed waiver below for YOURSELF/ EVERY MEMBER OF YOUR GROUP.

The Fine Print:

By submitting your or your group’s original artworks to the Hidden City Fan Art Contest, you waive your rights to financial compensation for the work from the publisher, The Masterful Person Company, its affiliates, retail partners and the author, J.S. Furlong. You authorize and give full permission for your work, if chosen as a winner, to be included in the published edition of Hidden City paperback and hardcover editions with no financial compensation due to you for the lifetime of the book and its publication.
I agree to the above statement. I understand that I will receive full written, named credit for any and all of my winning artworks included in Hidden City. I will be allowed to promote and share my involvement in Hidden City publication fully on all social media and other promotional platforms. I understand and agree that my work is a work of original art and does not use images copyrighted by any other artist or company. I agree that I waive my right to any financial compensation associated with my artworks being included in the publication of Hidden City: The Unimaginables, Book 1. I certify that as of March 19, 2021, I am between 12-19 years of age.
